Leaders, Legends and Legacy Gala

As we took our seats at ADAF’s Leaders, Legends and Legacy Gala, Lenny Klinger's Galaxy and The Bottoms Up Blues Gang struck up.  During the Gala, they provided party, jazz and blues music for each phase.  Before the montage of scenes of the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, this singer performed a stirring, soulful song about New Orleans.

A singer impersonating Tina Turner entertained those attending the Leaders, Legends and Legacy Gala.  Starting with “Rowing in the River”, “Tina” covered her hits and then the best dance songs of the post-rock era such as “RESPECT” (Aretha Franklin), “Freak Out” (Chic) and, of course, “The Twist” (Philadelphia’s own Chubby Checker).  Yes, that really is ADA President Rebecca Reeves on the right.  The dietetics professional to "Tina's" left did a mean twist!  Did anyone see Pat Harper do a fine Electric Slide?

Next, Aloha!
