Suggested procedure to donate a cookbook to a public library or institution:
- Purchase a cookbook(s) from the PADA website.
- Email the PADAF office for a donor label or labels. Place the sticker on the inside front cover.
- Select a learning institution by clicking on http://edna.ed.state.pa.us/. To be sure the library has not already received a cookbook, click on “a list of donors and recipients so far” in the previous page.
- Contact the library (or school) director by telephoning, emailing or walking in.
- If you would like to send a letter, click here for a sample letter. Feel free to change the letter if you wish. Also, you may know the name of the library director; as website may not list this information.
- Offer to donate the book. The library may have a donor form for you to complete.
- Make sure the library creates a donation plate to put on the inside front cover. If not, at least the sticker will identify a PADA member as a donor.
- To keep our files updated, please email the PADAF office with donation information. Cyndi will send this information to the website coordinator.
Thanks for offering to donate your association’s cookbook to public institutions.
