Eileen Ford, MS, RD, LDN, on the left, receiving the award for Outstanding Dietitian from last year's recipient, Rita Johnson, PhD, RD, LDN, FADA.

Eileen Ford is the Project Director for STOPP-T2D: Studies to Treat or Prevent Pediatric Type 2 Diabetes at the Weight and Eating Disorders Program at the University of PA School of Medicine in Philadelphia. She received her BS in Food and Nutrition through the CUP program and her MS in Clinical Nutrition from Drexel University.

 

Karen Virostek, MS, RD, LDN, FADA, (L) receiving the Keystone Award from last year's winner, Marge Fitzgerald, MS, RD, LDN, CDE.

Karen Virostek is the Director of Marketing Operations and Nutrition Services Department for the Family Health Council in Pittsburgh and
Southwest PA. She received her BS and MS from Indiana University of PA. In the past, Karen has been recognized as PADA's Outstanding Dietetic Educator in 1998 and American Dietetic Association Fellow in 2000.

Theresa Gustafson is an Outpatient Diabetes Educator at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey. She received her BS in Nutrition from Messiah College and her MS in Foods and Nutrition/Nutrition Education from Marywood University.

Mary Babcock serves as a preceptor for Marywood University's Coordinated
Program of Nutrition and Dietetics. Currently, she is a Medical Nutrition Therapist with the Wilkes Barre Veteran's Administration Medical Center and is an Adjunct Faculty in Nutrition at Wilkes University and Marywood University.


 

Lisa Ann Jones, MA, RD, LDN, on the left, receiving the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award from past recipient Mary Alice Gettings, MS, RD, LDN, CDE, currently Chair of the Awards and Scholarship Committee.

Lisa Ann Jones is self-employed as a Nutrition Consultant. In addition, she is a preceptor for several dietetic internships and is an adjunct professor at LaSalle University. She received her BS in Dietetics from West Virginia University and her MA in Nutrition Education from Immaculata University.

 

Stephanie Templeton, MBA, RD, LDN, on the left, receiving the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award from previous winner, Rachel Harken, MS RD LDN.

Stephanie Templeton (Nagy) is currently the Director of Nutrition Services for Ohio Valley General Hospital located in the Pittsburgh area. She also serves as Field Faculty with the University of Pittsburgh CUP program. She received her BS in Dietetics from Western Michigan University and her MBA from the University of Phoenix.

   
Amy Virus, RD, LDN, on the left, received the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award from past recipient Eileen Ford, MS, RD, LDN.

Amy Virus is a Research Dietitian at the Weight and Eating Disorders Program at the University of Pennsylvania. She
received her BS in Public Health/Nutrition from West Chester University and completed her dietetic internship at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals.

   
Lorraine Johnson, DTR, on the left, receiving the Recognized Dietetic Technician of the Year Award from Cindy Burke, MS, RD, LDN, FADA, PADA President Elect.

Lorraine Johnson is the Assistant Director of Dietary for Baptist Homes in Pittsburgh. She received her Associate Degree in Nutrition Care from Allegheny Community College. She is currently the Dietetic Technician representative to the Pittsburgh Dietetic Association board and has agreed to be this representative to the PADA board next year.

Lisa Rinaldi is enrolled in her dietetic internship at Marywood
University. Lisa received her Bachelor of Science Degree in nutrition from Penn State University and is expected to complete her Masters degree, in the spring, from Marywood University.

Crystal Palko is currently enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh's CUP program. Crystal was appointed, by her Clinical Coordinator, as the
Sports Medicine and Nutrition undergraduate student representative to the Academic Integrity Hearing Board.

Kelly Jones is enrolled in the didactic program at Messiah College. With a minor in Global Studies, Kelly is planning to pursue a graduate degree in International Nutrition.
