| Being a Pennsylvania Dietetic Association member comes with great benefits, connects fellow PA
nutrition professionals and supports efforts to move our profession forward. You became a PADA
member simply by joining or renewing your ADA membership and selecting Pennsylvania as your
affiliate. If you recently joined, welcome. If you’re a long standing member, thank you. PADA
currently has 3,418 members, and is the fourth largest affiliate of ADA.
As membership renewal time arrives, I would like to
remind you of all the PADA and ADA resources that your
membership provides. Over the year, you have access to:
• Information Resources- PADA Quarterly News, PADA
Listserv, ADA Daily News, ADA Times, CEO Digest,
On the Pulse, and RDs Weigh-In blog, just to name a
few…
• Education Opportunities- Earn CPE credit with conferences, workshops, journal
articles, online options and more…
• Policy Initiative and Advocacy- Join with PADA and ADA to promote our
members as the leading source of food and nutrition information…
• Networking- PADA as well as State District Associations, ADA-DPG (Dietetic
Practice Groups) and ADA-MIG (Member Interest Groups) sponsor professional
education and networking opportunities throughout the year…
• Resources for promoting your services- Free advertising in the Nationwide
Nutrition Network, access to PADA listserv and more…
I encourage you to visit http://www.eatrightpa.org/members to learn more and
take advantage of your membership.
I encourage you to visit http://www.eatrightpa.org/members to learn more and
take advantage of your membership.
In addition to providing educational opportunities and information resources, your
membership allows you to stay connected with other PA nutrition professionals,
which is particularly important in this fast paced, ever changing world. One of
our goals this year is to recruit as many new members as possible. If you know
one of the 2,433 eligible PA nutrition professions who are not PADA members, I
encourage you to think of ways to connect them with our circle. Recruiting new
members is a tribute to your dedication and important for the long term survival
of our association.
The benefits of PADA membership are undeniable; just as we are all faced with
the challenge of balancing finances, so is your association. Your membership
assures the continued financial stability of PADA so that we can continue to provide
services and leadership opportunities to YOU, our members.
On behalf of the entire PADA membership, I would like to say THANK YOU to
those who volunteer in your association through PADA, PADA-District Associations,
ADA, DPGs or MIGs. We understand that everyone cannot contribute their time,
but renewing your membership helps provide the necessary funding. It is also the
vote of confidence that WE, as volunteers, need to keep moving our professional
association forward.
In good health,
Amy |
