Advocacy = Grassroots Efforts & Lobbying

Advocacy is a key!  We encourage nutrition professionals of PAND to enhance your advocacy skills and gather the materials that needed for talking with policymakers and others about nutrition and health.

Important definitions:

  • Grassroots - Any political activity that happens at the local or community level. Typically generated by individuals motivated by a cause.
  • Lobbying - Uses for direct meetings including community and governmental, information tours with elected representatives, advertising and public relations campaigns.
