  • You will get a letter from the Licensure Board with your registration code a few months prior to the renewal deadline.  This letter reads the following about the registration code:  “The registration code will not change, it will be printed on your wallet card each time you receive a new license.  The code allows you to change your address, order a duplicate license or renew online.”
  • Go to www.myLicense.state.pa.us, use your registration code and follow the instructions to renew.
  • If you cannot renew online you will need to get a hard copy of the renewal application.  You can download via the following website www.dos.state.pa.us/nurse.  Also, you can request a hard copy via fax, by calling 717-783-7142.  Finally, you can request a renewal application by mail by returning your renewal letter.
  • When you renew online print out all relevant information and follow all instructions.
  • Online renewal allows you to verify and confirm your renewal by going to the following website www.dos.state.pa.us and clicking on the link to verify a professional license.   You will have to enter your name and then click on your licensure number.  Then you will be given your licensure history, when you applied, when you last renewed, when you are due for renewal and if your license is active.  You can verify successful renewal 48 hours after you complete the online renewal process.
  • If you complete the renewal online make sure your credit card is billed for the transaction.
  • If your renewal is successful you will get a new licensure certificate and card in the mail a few weeks after completion.
  • You must successful complete the renewal application, pay the required fees, provide the appropriate information and disclose any relevant information impacting your license.
