Job description:

We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and highly skilled Registered Dietitian to join our healthcare team. The Dietitian will work with patients on an individual basis, providing nutrition counseling and education tailored to meet their unique health needs. This role will focus on promoting healthy eating habits, managing chronic conditions, and supporting overall wellness in a clinical outpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Nutrition Counseling and Education:
Provide personalized nutrition assessments and counseling to patients with various medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cardiovascular disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and others. Develop individualized care plans and dietary recommendations based on patient needs, goals, and medical history.

Patient Monitoring and Follow-up:
Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up appointments. Adjust dietary plans as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes. Track and document progress and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Collaboration:
Work closely with other healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care. Collaborate on treatment plans for patients requiring multi-disciplinary care.

Patient Advocacy and Support:
Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients, helping them navigate lifestyle changes. Empower patients to make informed choices and take an active role in their health journey.

Research and Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on the latest nutrition research, trends, and best practices. Apply evidence-based nutrition science in patient care and contribute to the development of new protocols.

Administrative Duties:
Document patient interactions, create care plans, and maintain accurate and complete records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Work Environment:
This position is based in an outpatient office working directly with patients or through virtual sessions. We have two locations (Limerick, PA and Royersford, PA)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time 1 year clinical experience
Must hold state licensure and hold national registration Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field required.

Licensure/Certification:
Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential required. State licensure must be current.

Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a dietitian, preferably in an outpatient or clinical setting. Experience with chronic disease management and patient counseling is highly desired.

Skills & Abilities:
Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for various conditions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and educate patients effectively.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
