Under the supervision of the Diabetic Program Coordinator, you will:
* Provide direct medical nutrition therapy to individual patients as well as groups of patients in formal class setting.
* Teach individual patients about disease process and treatment plan to assist patient in mastery of necessary skills for management of the disease.
* Act as a consultant to the nursing staff on patient diabetic care issues.
* Collaborate with the physician on diabetic patient management.
* Provide diabetic education and medical nutrition therapy to patient population ranging from teenage to late adulthood.

Qualifications include: * 2 years clinical experience in medical nutrition therapy
* Bachelor of Science in Nutrition required
* Current certification as a Registered Dietitian required; Certified Diabetes Educator or Certified Diabetes Educator eligible preferred.
* Valid drivers license

Provide value-added services and develop relationships with pediatric office/birthing & pediatric hospitals that will lead to Nestlé formula recommendations. Participate in medical professional national and local convention exhibits. Manage Individual medical marketing expenses, sample and literature budget. Experience - External: This job requires a 4-year college degree program in Nutrition, or RN with significant Nutrition experience. RD's with experience in healthcare preferred. Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record. Candidates should have 2 to 3 years experience in healthcare. Sales experience a plus. Articulate, assertive, self-motivated, confident, strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate creative thinking and problem solving skills. Good business acumen is a requirement, as is the ability to adapt well within rapidly changing work and industry environment. Extensive computer skills a plus. Comfort discussing issues with physicians, dietitians, nurses and other clinical professionals. Basic minimum work schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week with additional hours as necessary. Some weekend work is required. Must be able to travel within territory and to assigned meetings. Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing. Ability to stand, walk, sit continuously to perform essential functions for an eight hour-plus shift. Ability to distribute samples as needed to MD offices and hospitals.
