Position Description:
Description:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Dietitian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly those who are picky eaters or dealing with eating disorders. This role requires a strong commitment to promoting healthy eating habits and providing nutritional guidance in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate the nutritional needs of children, including those with specific dietary challenges.
- Develop and tailor nutrition education to individual needs.
- Provide counseling and support to children and their families regarding healthy eating habits.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to create comprehensive care plans for children with eating disorders.
- Conduct workshops and educational sessions to promote nutrition awareness among children and parents.
- Must be open to working weekends, after school time and/or evenings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential.
- Experience working with children, particularly in a clinical or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children and families.
- Knowledge of current dietary guidelines and nutrition trends.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
