We are seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to join our team at a senior living community in Gettysburg, PA.

Job Description/Position Summary:

Identify and assess the nutritional needs of assigned residents, initiate interventions to achieve and/or maintain individuals’ nutritional status and enhance quality of life consistent with resident’s goals. Will provide nutritional expertise to the health care team and educate residents, staff, and consultants. Will follow the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics standards of practice and the facility’s regulatory requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

· Works with nursing, dining staff, and other departments to promote optimal resident care.

· Actively participates in developing, planning, and presenting nutrition and food service related training sessions and quality improvement programs to nursing and dining services staff.

· Participates in facility menu planning for regular and therapeutic diets in conjunction with the Director of Dining Services.

· Ensures accuracy and consistency of resident diet, nourishments, supplements, weights, food preferences, and other resident data in the computerized tray card system.

· Conducts regular and ongoing meal rounds, dining room assessments and test tray audits.

· Attends facility assigned meetings, such as quality assurance or safety council, as assigned by the Director of Dining Services.

· Assists in other areas of Dining Services as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:
Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or Registry Eligible

Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing/Credentialing Board, in states where required or the ability to obtain the state license within 6 months of hire

Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications and electronic medical record systems

Be self-directed, flexible, a team player with excellent time management, verbal, and written communication skills
