Here’s what to expect on the job:
• Assist in developing outcomes, strategies, and data collection methods based on the child’s Evaluation Report (ER) and Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
• Ensure the identification, development, and implementation of nutritional therapy activities to meet the needs of the family and child in accordance with the child’s IFSP.
• Assess the needs, interest, and abilities of the family and child to determine appropriate ways to achieve optimum nutritional requirements for children with nutritional risks, calorie needs for nutrient deficiencies or excesses, growth concerns, management of supplemental feedings, weaning, and feeding transitions.
• Assess on an ongoing basis the functional skills of the child in the areas of nutritional and growth needs and healthy eating habits within the family structure.
• Provide families with individual session notes that include the outcome, strategies used, recommendations, and plans for the next session.
• Provide updates and information for quarterly reviews and annual evaluations in accordance with county guidelines to allow for adequate planning when determining the child's continued eligibility.
• Provide support and feedback to families/caregivers with suggestions and strategies to assist their child in achieving their IFSP goal.
• Develop and implement new policies and/or procedures within the functional area to support the continuous improvement of operational effectiveness and efficiency.
• Assist in the coordination of nutritional therapy services in compliance with governmental policies and standards.
• Complete all Agency and county paperwork required for new referrals and ongoing services within outlined timelines.
• Develop a positive rapport with community medical staff and specialists to foster support of the children and families of the Early Intervention program.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree within a related discipline expected and 2 to 5 years of learning experience within a related professional discipline preferred.
• Or Master’s degree within a related discipline and 0 to 2 years of learning experience within a related professional discipline preferred.
• Completion of an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) approved program.
• PA State licensure or eligible for licensure.
• Eligible for PA Promise Enrollment.
• Not on CMS Exclusion List.
• A valid driver’s license and 6 months of previous driving experience.
• Access to regular use of a vehicle with valid insurance coverage.
• Ability to communicate, read, write, and interpret English.
Desired Qualifications:
• One year of prior experience working with children/pediatrics
