The Nutrition and Dietetics club at Seton Hill University is committed to promoting healthful eating and service to the Seton Hill campus, Greensburg community, and beyond. This year, the Dietetic students have prepared twenty gallons of soup for “Soup for a Claus”, participated in the International Food Festival, and donated ingredients for a meal to the Food Pantry for National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week. The Dietetics Club participated in the Magi Project by partnering with the St. Vincent de Paul Society to provide food to residents in need during the Christmas season. Dietetics students baked over 12 dozen cookies that were distributed at the local food pantry.

In spirit of March being National Nutrition Month, dietetic students from Seton Hill University took a trip to the country’s capital to experience the role of dietetics in public policy. The students took a tour of the United States Department of Agriculture, National Institutes of Health, and National Library of Medicine. Recently, four of the dietetics students prepared a raffle basket and baked cookies for Seton Hill’s “Sunday Fun Day”. All proceeds of the event go to the Reflections for Grace Foundation, non-profit organization that brings support to children and families that are affected by Pediatric Brain Cancer.
