Position Description:

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will organize a complete program of patient nutritional care including nutritional assessments, diet counseling, treatment team participation, discharge counseling, and nutritional education programs. This includes providing counseling on nutritional needs through direct care interactions with our adult and geriatric populations, coordinating with food service personnel to fill client nutritional needs, and developing and evaluating educational materials for program use. Our team will rely on you to notate information in the consumer's chart to be utilized while admitted to the hospital and upon discharge, as well as participate in treatment team meetings to develop nutritional care for each consumer. Your knowledge of diet and nutrition are essential for supporting the treatment services we provide to ensure that all persons in our care have the opportunity for growth, recovery, and inclusion in their community. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
Travel as needed.
May change based on operational needs.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
Certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
